Visa Services

"Travelers who reside in a country without a Cameroonian High Commission or Embassy."

Travelers from these countries who are planning an official visit to the Douala area, or passing through the Douala area changing planes the same day or several days between must have a visa granted before arrival in the country.

There is a fee for 30 day visas granted to travelers with the exception of Diplomatic passport holders. Holders of Official passports and tourist passports are subject to the fee, even if on official business.

  1. Transit visa (no cost to the traveler) can be granted if the traveler has no intention of doing any business in Cameroon and is merely changing planes, same day or within a few days. This visa should only be requested for one-way trips through Cameroon, since it is or a single entry only.
  2. A 30-day multiple entry visa can be issued for round trip travel through Cameroon or multiple trips to Cameroon. There is a cost  for those not holding a Diplomatic passport.

Travelers arriving at the Douala airport without a visa are typically held at an airport holding area until they can be boarded on a continuing flight, or a return flight. Those being held often are not able to use any services.

Official travelers arriving without a visa that are being met at the airport may not be successful in obtaining permission to stay in the country, and may detained at the airport until they are boarded on a return or ongoing flight. Visas issued at the airport require advance approval from immigration authorities.

If you need assistance in obtaining a visa to visit the Douala area, please email two weeks prior to your trip, so that we can be of good help to you.
