Ebogo is a magical site located in a quiet green of the rainforest that offers visitors various attractions, including canoe rides on the river Nyong, the discovery of the "Big 300-year-old Tree" about 12 meters in diameter, the capture a variety of butterflies, traditional fishing of various species of fish breeding tortoises in the succulent flesh, trekking in the forest on the nature trail, a vision of wild birds including parrots grouped up in an island; all under the guidance of enthusiastic Mr. Ernest ONANA, affectionately known as "the last crocodile."
Ebogo also has the most welcoming people with Bantu cultural dances including the "Bikutsi" to spice the stay of tourists not to mention the refreshing palm wine, which washes down the grilled freshwater fish and other traditional dishes like the "pkwem" prepared from the leaves of cassava and palm oil.
A Ebogo, the administration of tourism, in collaboration with the World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) has created the STEP (Sustainable Tourism for Eliminating Poverty) for sustainable development through tourism. Thus, the basic infrastructure has been built (access roads, accommodations), local people have received training for the sustainable management of the site. Ebogo ecotourism site cannot be told. it has to be lived.
Day 1: Arrival in Douala and Yaoundé
Arrival at the Douala International Airport in Yaoundé Nsimalen or late afternoon - Welcome by a tour guide of Ecotour-Travel (ETT) - Transfer to hotel (3 *) - Dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Yaoundé
After breakfast, departure to visit the city of seven hills - Monuments - Museums - markets - back to the hotel in the late afternoon - lunch - dinner and overnight
Day 3: YAOUNDE - MEFOU - EBOGO - YAOUNDE (Excursion)
Breakfast departure to park semi-natural Mefou, the sanctuary of gorillas and chimpanzees - Departure for Ebogo - boat ride on the river Nyong - butterflies photo safari - lunch (fish freshwater river) end-afternoon return to Yaounde - Yaounde dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Departure
End of the tour return to Yaounde and departure.
