Itinerary

Day 1: Belo

What to do: Return to Belo and do the Mbingo Cliff Top Trekking. It is the best trekking experience in this region and starts from the breathtaking Mbingo hilltop and passes through the picturesque adjoining hilly areas to Belo. It lasts for 5 to 7 hours. It enables one to see far and wide the underlying areas occupied by sprawling villages with many beautiful farmlands. One may discover villagers on their farms.

Day 2: Fundong

While back at Fundong visit the highly venerated traditional ruler. His Kingdom is one of the largest in Cameroon. A ritual initiation is performed on any visitor willing to get into the interior of the palace, where the mystical antiquity called Afo-Akom is found.

This piece of the carved object was stolen from a western museum, and while there it caused a lot of havoc by knocking down other antiquities, due to the fact that it was not feeling comfortable where it was. It was later brought back to Cameroon. It is believed to have much magical power which protects the entire Kingdom from any mishap.

The ritual initiation will also confer on one the honorary citizenship of this Kingdom. And will have the possibility of discussing the traditional ruler.

Overnight in Fundong.

Day 3: Oku-Bamenda

At Bamenda visit craft shops and local markets for souvenirs. And in the evening watch a scintillating mask dance. Bamenda-Douala and departure.
